Introduction

Darcey Bussell

The Cecchetti Method

The Cecchetti Method of training is based on sound theoretical and anatomical principles and hinges on a programme of some 50 Adage studies and groups of Allegro exercises to be studied on each day of the week. The Diploma includes the Days of the Week and is the culmination of the study of the Cecchetti Method. Both are in-app purchases and can be downloaded or streamed.

The Days of the Week consist of the entire repertoire of Adage studies and principal daily exercises for Allegro as composed by Maestro Cecchetti. They are designed to work anatomically with emphasis on the correct use of muscle groups and muscular development. The laws of opposition come into play and technique, and artistry are developed on a parallel.
